The three main schools that I am looking at that I have been accepted to are Trinity University, A&M, and UT Austin. However, I applied to all of these schools for biochemistry (as I wanted to go pre-med), but I have since decided that I do not want to go that route anymore. I would like to do engineering, but I am unsure which college to go for. Right now, I am leaning more towards Trinity because you do not have to declare your major until sophomore year, and the classes are much smaller. However, the engineering program at Trinity is not as good as the ones at UT and A&M. I really do not know if I should risk going to UT and having to transfer into engineering (because it is extremely difficult), or if it is even worth that risk. So I guess what I am really trying to ask is, how hard would it be to switch into engineering at UT and is it worth the risk of not getting in? I have also heard that you may be able to switch during orientation, but I am pretty sure that information is outdated. Thanks in advance for answering.
