Hello!
I just heard back from UoP about my admissions status and it says I've been wait listed for their pre-pharmacy program. Does anybody know what are your chances of getting in after being wait listed or how many people are in the pool?
It says I am "placed on an unranked wait list in the Pre-Pharmacy program" is that really true otherwise how do they decide who is accepted once spots are open in the program?

Other than that does anyone have suggestions of what to send in to strengthen my application? I plan to write a letter and I've already sent in first semester grades. I'm thinking of sending in some pieces of art work but would that confuse the admissions board instead?

No when you’re wait listed it means you haven’t been accepted or rejected. If a spot opens up on the program you get let in depending on how many spots so its like you have a chance but you can still be rejected usually means you should say yes to another school just in case

I got waitlisted too and I applied to UoP’s prepharm program. I’m planning on writing another personal statement as well as get a supplementary letter of recommendation from my teacher. Is there really any hope of getting in at this point? I feel like my SAT scores were my weak point but I have no idea how to improve those. This is just so frustrating! :/

I got waitlisted too! And waiting for the email that says either I get in or not is going to give me an anxiety attack for waiting so long! This is so frustrating! And what I’m trying to do right now is to send in my official AP scores (because I have to anyways in order to not take that UC entry exam, hopefully). I’m so sad because I had a high gpa, I think I had a pretty decent personal statement, and I had letters of recommendation from 2 of my teachers, but I still got waitlisted. I think my weakest point was my SAT, because I was 50 points off of the requirements for the 2+3. I hope a lot of people reject it to go to another university so we can all get accepted. And even though it was a long time ago, my sister had to go through the same thing, but she eventually got accepted, I think in the middle of May, and she got into the 2+3 program also. And I am much more qualified than she was, even though she’s studying really hard right now. And now I have to somehow pray that I can get accepted to prepharm so I don’t have to pay $100 to go to another school and take a stupid writing exam, unless they can accept my AP scores now. :(

the anxiety is killing me! When did your sis apply! You should have made it in if you had better stats than your sis. May I ask what your sister’s rank/gpa were?

Well, she applied like 2 years ago, and I think she got accepted maybe a couple days after. And I called the university and they said that they would start reviewing all the waitlisted applicants, after they find out the number of people who accepted the sir and who denied it, on May 1st. And I’m not entirely sure what her rank was in the school but I think her gpa was around a 4.1. I just hope a lot of people denied it even though I fear they probably didn’t. This school has a great program.

They said they’ll notify everyone BEFORE June 1, so i’m guessing probably mid-May. If anyone gets off the waitlist can you please post your stats and whether u were informed by mail or through email please? Thank you!

Hi, I was on the Pre-pharm waitlist for UOP and I got a call May 11, saying I got into the 2+3 program with a $10,000 renewable scholarship. I’m not sure if I’m going though, because I am set to go to another school now!

@ CloudyMuffins where are else are you considering going too?
And for all the other people that are wait listed you have a pretty good chance of getting in, because my friend just got in with a 3.6 sat of 1700 and he comes from a middle class family!

same here, still waiting. And it’s already the 30th of May… are there still many waitlist people waiting out there?
and thanks ivball9 for the encouraging words. This wait has been very long.
