There is no separate forum for the school so I thought I'd post here.

We're visiting next month, and I'm just wondering whether anyone has first-hand knowledge of it. I did a search, and the best cc post I found on it was several years old.

It's a great size -- about 3,000. Ds is intrigued by the honors college and honors house, though the literature on those are a little confusing to us. We know a couple of people who went there, but that was at least 15 years ago. (Our optometrist went there many moons ago; he said it had changed a lot but was "chill." :) Hey, we like chill.)

My daughter just graduated HS 2009, and our pastor forwarded us information on scholarships specificaly for Presbyterian students - University of Tulsa was one of the schools that offered scholarships. She didn’t apply (it wasn’t what she was looking for) but if you are Presbyterian and are interested definitely look into the scholarships for Presbyterians!

Our nephew attends Oklahoma City University - it’s affiliated with the United Methodist church - he got a scholarship from his home Methodist church.

d was nmf and if i remember right was ultimately offered full ride to go there. i think the caveat was that she had applied, was accepted, and then the merit aid offer was extended. they have been listed on the cc nmf full ride threads so you might peruse those threads again.

kinda known as an engineering type school but we never visited. lots of majors including petroleum engineering. tulsa is known as the “oil capitol of the world.”
