University of Vermont decisions 2022

Thank you for the insight @janjmom @Longhaul , I guess you could call it one of my “safety” schools, but I actually really liked it and was highly considering attending either way. I’m planning on writing a letter and calling the admissions office to express my interest. To answer your question @5678abc , I applied as a Molecular Genetics Major.

Daughter accepted to Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. This is her top choice.

Congrats to everyone got in! I got in as well.

Merit aid should be up on the portal for those who were wondering! Just received the Trustees Scholarship for $12,000 a year.

Accepted with 3.83 UW, 1200 SAT to arts and sciences Political Science

where did you find the merit info?

forget it, found it! thanks

Hey! @jj2018 where is the merit info?

@gbraun I have a 29 GPA and High GPA from one of the best boarding schools in the southeast and got deferred. My counselor was very confused as this was my safety. Often times if you are a very competitive student and they think you are not going to actually go to the school they can defer you because schools don’t like to waste acceptances on kids they think won’t attend. They will wait to see if you get into your first choice and if you haven’t rescinded your application they will accept you later

Does anyone know if need based financial aid notification is different from merit aid? Earlier some of you were saying merit aid would be today (or early next week) and not I see where DS’ portal says check back in early February for your “financial award”.

My son just received the Presidential Scholarship for $17,000/year. He did not receive an email, but he logged into the portal and it showed a status update dated today. When he clicked “view update”, the scholarship letter popped up.

Thanks, I see it now! DS also got a very nice Presidential Scholarship.

When you guys were checking did it show up as a new update to your application or did you just click on the financial aid link and it was there?

Anyone else get the Trustees scholarship? I just saw I’m getting 8k a year for that. Net calculator said 12k so I’m a little disappointed.

Thanks for letting me know the scholarship info was there. I thought it was being mailed next week. DS got a Presidential - very exciting!

It showed up a new update (12/15) - similar to the acceptance letter from yesterday and was not part of the financial aid link.

My daughter received $17,000 presidential scholarship. ACT 29. GPA 4.71 W

$18,000 Presidential scholarship, 35 ACT and 4.0 unweighted GPA.

Happy for my daughter earning a $18,000 Presidential scholarship - 32 ACT, 3.98 UW GPA.

$13,000 Trustees Scholarship, 3.9 W GPA and 29 ACT
