University of Virginia International Financial forms?

Now Uva wants me to send a financial guarantee form since im an international student. But on their page where they have deadlines (Applying to U.Va., Admission Information, Undergraduate Admission, U.Va.) it just says n/a. Does this mean this is one of those forms which needs to be in the admission office in order for them to start looking at my application at all(and would hence need to be sent in as soon as possible) or is it a form that i send after im admitted so that they can give me a visa? Do i send it now or what?

i need to know this also please

I also need to ask this. Who can help?

You used to be able to send it in after you were admitted, but it’s quite possible that UVA now requires it before they consider your application - which many colleges do. There’s no point in UVA wasting their time reviewing your application if you cannot pay once admitted.

There is also no point in hundreds (soon to be thousands) of students going through the work of providing the form just to be turned down.

From what I understand, we are not allowed to admit an international student without the form being on file. Sorry, you have to submit the form.

Dean J, I emailed the office regarding this question and was told I could send it in either now or after I get admitted and accept the admission offer. I sent another question asking if it was ok that it was still on my To-Do List and haven’t received a message back yet.

I also have a question about the financial guarantee form.
On the application for Virginia In-State Educational Privileges it says that even though I am a citizen my parents (who have been living in America for 20 years) have to fill out this form because they are not citizens.
I went online and found the form.
However, it seems to only be for international students.
Can someone help me out?

hyangche,
I was in the same boat originally (though parents became citizens the same week). I called in and they said it did not apply to us because we were already applying as in-state students (and residing in the US) and therefore, did not need a visa or financial guarantee forms corresponding with it.

You all need to call ISO about this. While admission collects it, I am not an expert about the form.
