My son is admitted to Umich, UCLA, UW and Georgia Tech’s Computer Science direct programs. We narrowed down to UW and Georgia Tech CS program. Since we are WA state resident, UW tuition sounds very tempting. But it looks like Georgia Tech is a bit stronger in CS field. Any advice(pros and cons) you guys could provide about choosing a school would really help. Thanks in advance.
Easy decision. UW CS direct admit at in-state rates.
UW CS, UMich CS, UCLA CS, and GTech CS are all peers.
If anything, the first 3 do better than GTech in industry placement:

Where do you get the idea that GTech is stronger in CS?
UW, no contest! There is nothing at GA Tech worth paying OOS tuition for when you have direct admit at UW in state.
US News ranking, GA #6 and UW #11 for CS
Not what I see:

Regardless, these are all big public peers with, if anything, UMich, UCLA, and UW having an edge on GTech.
Grad school - yes. Undergrad - no. GTech is far better than UW. For instance, UIUC (my alma mater) is better than GTech and UW in the rankings for grad school (but not for undergrad)
