University of Washington DORMS

I am a high school senior thinking about choosing Washington as my university. I really want to live in a comfortable dorm so I was wondering what dorm is the best for incoming freshman? I prefer a dorm that is coed by floors. I would also a prefer a dorm that is in the center of campus. So any suggestions ?

McMahon, Haggett, McCarty are the most centrally located dorms.

Lander lander lander is the best

Terry/Lander are decent but they’re in South Campus (although I guess they’re slightly closer to the Ave). Mercer (also south) isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be, but it’s definitely not a social hub or anything.

Personally I would go with McCarty (in fact, I’m shooting for McCarty right now to dorm next year). High-quality dorm, close to campus, but also close enough to both the Ave and UVillage.

Edit: Also, McCarty is coed by floors, I think (if alternating guys/girls is what you mean).

I thought all dorms that freshman are allowed to live in are co-ed. Am I wrong?
