University of Washington or Boston University for premed

I got into both schools but am extremely confused as to which school would give me more opportunities when it comes to premed. My main goal is to go to a school that boosts my chances of getting into a med school. Please let me know your thoughts!

Med school admissions are largely determined by your GPA and your MCATs. You can do that equally well at either school. UW is far larger and has a massive biomedical and heath science suite of offerings. But most of that is graduate level. I suspect there isn’t going to be that much difference in the undergrad course offerings.

What is your cost difference? Med school is enormously costly and they don’t give out need-based scholarships for the most part. So you’ll be paying huge tuition and taking out huge loans unless your parents are very wealthy. If you truly want to go to med school then the smart play is to avoid debt as an undergrad.

Cost is not a huge issue for my family.
My main question was whether the grade deflation at BU is something that should be factored in a lot as I have heard that BU has more notable research and lab opportunities than UW. However, it may be easier to get a better GPA at UW.
