<p>Hi, I was looking through degree requirements for various colleges and noticed that the usual credit requirement for graduation is 120 credits. U. Washington, though, requires 180 credits. </p>
<p>Why do they demand such a heavy course load?</p>
<p>The UW is on a quarter system so you can earn 15 credits a quarter (or 45 total per year and 180 in four years).</p>
