The rule effective as of 2012.

As I understand it, if you transfer on with 2 years of credit, you have 6 quarters to fulfill your degree requirements and graduate (not counting summer quarter). Additionally, you can only take up to 30 credit beyond what is required for graduation (this will usually be 210). What I am unclear about is when the rule is actually enforced.

For example, if my sixth quarter is the Spring quarter in which I plan to graduate, would the rule not be enforced at all until I COMPLETED that quarter. That is to say, I would have graduated by the time that quarter has been completed so the rule would be moot.

In terms of registering for classes, will I be prevented from registering for more than 210 credits even if I haven't completed 6 quarters? Let us say it is Winter quarter and I am registering for Spring (my final quarter, after which I will graduate) but registering for 15 credits brings me to 215 total credits. Will I be allowed to register given that I would not have completed 6 quarters yet or will a block be applied preventing me from registering for credits that put me beyond the 210 limit?

I hope this makes sense. I will contact the registration office directly (I find advisers to be generally useless) but I wanted to know if anyone had personal experience with this.
