Hi,
I’ve posted on here before about the UW, but they are releasing their decisions next week and I am freaking out. I applied the first day possible (10/1), went over my essay with my English teacher, and sent my ACT and SAT scores right away. I am applying from out of state (top public school in the Washington DC area in Northern Virginia)
GPA- 3.42 (low I know… and the UW does not allow applicants to send transcripts, we have to self report grades, and there was no option to put a B+ rather than a B…)
SAT- 1790
ACT- 27
ECs:
-volunteering with Habitat for Humanity all four years of HS
-2 week service trip to Costa Rice
-2 week service trip to BVI
-summer volunteer in the O.R. at a local hospital
-JV lacrose and varsity track
-honor roll
My GPA worries me. I have been accepted everywhere I have applied (U of Utah, U of Arizona, U of Colorado, Colorado State, U of Wisconsin, U of Oregon) and the UW is the last college I hear from, and it is where I really want to go. I wrote in my essay about how Seattle is where I want to spend the next four years of my life and that it is my number one school.
Realistically, do I have a chance? Everything I am reading says the UW becomes more and more competitive each year.
