How competitive is it to get into UW if you are in state? I know Indiana residents are guaranteed interviews at Indiana Med Schools. Is there anything similar to this in WA?

Thanks.

As with every state public, there is an advantage in being in-state.

2006, there were 3775 total applications to Udub, of which 17.1% or 646 applicants were in-state. They had 182 matriculants, 56.6% or 103 students were in-state.

79/3129 = 2.5%
103/646 = 15.9%

Whether it's guaranteed interviews...who knows, a lot schools handle that very differently.

I'd say that's quite the advantage.

Thanks a lot BRM!
