University owned apartments! Questions!

June 1st is the deadline for transfers. I am still looking into the university owned apartments. But I really don't know which one to pick. I've checked out westwood palms and I didn't like it. Not to mention, it smelled like fish.

Any pointers? Which one is a good one to pick?

Please help!

I live in Westwood Chateau. Honestly, it's just your average apartment complex. The downsides are:
1. the internet is unreliable
2. there are 2 washing machines on each floor
3. UCLA apartments are expensive

The situation is generally the same across the board for complexes west of campus. The Hilgard buildings are a little nicer, though.

And finally, unless you really want to suffer, avoid the complexes in University Apartments South. The only way to get to campus from there is via shuttle.

Yams, I've heard Westwood Chateau is pretty great.

Has anyone here lived in the uni apartment in 625 Landfair? What is it like? I'm staying in the studio with a friend, hopefully it's not extremely tiny or something.

I lived in the 625 Landfair apartments. They're pretty big for studios.

flopsy! Is it a nice apartment? Not too loud? Although I did hear there are a lot of parties in Landfair.

It's a nice apartment, but Landfair is right across from a fraternity house, and the structure enables a lot of rooftop parties.

A friend lives on the 500 block sharing a studio. She says it gets toasty during warm weather. If you and your roomie both have cars, street parking is a pain in the butt. But yeah, the rooms are big for one person and gets kinda loud when one of the frats nearby throws a party...which is just about every night.

lol pikapp is 626 landfair :D

no air conditioning?

OMG SHAMELESS APARTMENT PLUG TIME AGAIN.

I'm looking for two roomies for the 2007-2008 school year.

$600/month, two parking spaces.

any takers? pm me!

i'm currently in glenrock west and I loved my experiences here. Everyone I have talked to has said that Glenrock West has some of the best apartments UCLA has to offer (there are many people who chose to be in glenrock again the next year).

I really hope I can block out some of the sound from the partying..... No air conditioning? ._.

mariopuzo,

How much is electric / internet / misc fees going to be?
I was looking at paying $600 for EVERYTHING, but that is probably asking for too much, especially in Westwood...

I pay around 600 for everything- 2bed 2bath 2100, then again, I live south of Wilshire.

how do you get to campus?

^ Who? 10 chars

bfired
10char

wilshire center shuttle...every 10-15 mins until 5:30 M-F.

huh. i didn't know about that xD

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me about the UCLA university apartments north? I guess it is on 945 Weyburn…Is it a nice place to live for a transfer student OR is too far away from action and remote?
