University programs

I'm having a lot of trouble finding any info on some university programs.
These schools ahve what i want, music ed and performance but i can't find anything about the quality of these programs..

University of Vermont
Marlyand
Delaware

I play alto saxophone if that matters

Any info about any of them is appreciated

UVM is well known in Burlington for its jazz faculty within the college of music, and Burlington, while small, has a thriving music and arts scene. You can find more about its music department by going to the main UVM website, then to the College of Arts and Sciences, then to Department of Music website. There have been some really good recent sax alumni from UVM, and you can read about them from the Department of Music website.

We visited Maryland when looking at colleges for my daughter. It has the best performing arts center I have seen on any college campus. (Admittedly I have only seen a few dozen, so there may be others just as nice out there.) They also have some very good teachers, although I know nothing about their sax teacher. The main down side for us was that the size of the school was a lot bigger than my daughter wanted.

I have a good friend whose daughter is currently a trumpet performance major at Delaware and she is very enthusiastic about the music program there.

Thank you for the responses. I didn’t either of those were good, neither my band teacher nor my private teacher knew anything abouth them…

I know a student who just graduated from UVM w/a major in music ed (she is also a singer, and I don’t know if she also did performance). She was very happy with it and has a good teaching job right out of college.
