Along with my acceptance, I received a .PDF notifying me that I "[had] been selected as a University Scholar" with 10k per year. Has anything else heard anything about this? Is it common? I've only found one CC thread on the topic from a few years back.

<p>I also got one a few years back. When I asked the admissions office they said about 7% of students got them. I think they range from 5k to like 15k. Congratulations!</p>

<p>@ashking You are only eligible for the UChicago-specific scholarship if you indicate it on the Common App. Assuming you are no longer an undergraduate you are not eligible for the University scholarship, so you might have to apply for financial aid or for outside grants.</p>
