I got a "University Scholarship--Seattle" for $3,000, but I don't know what for. Is this the "UW Undergraduate Academic Excellence Awards are awarded to about 50 incoming freshmen per year, with four-year tuition waiver awards of $3,000 per year" or something else?

Just accept that you got free money.

i got that too, i’m wondering the same thing haha. Because if it was need-based it would’ve been lumped in with the grant award right?

UWhuskies1234 and icesk8girl, are you both in-state, or out of state?

yes I’m in state

I got this too and I’m in-state.

in-state! My mom thinks it’s the one where they only give out 50 of them a year, but i don’t think so… but i’m not gonna dissuade her if she wants to believe i got something that prestigious, lol :D

Were you notified of this scholarship through letter or email?

Congratulations, btw!! :)

someone should call and ask :)

I just got a letter today talking about the scholarship. It mentioned that the scholarship is given for academic merit and those who meet financial aid requirements, and it can be renewed again next year by submitting FAFSA 2013.
