Has anyone heard back from UW about scholarships? I'm kind of in a financial bind right now and a scholarship wouldn't hurt...

Well, Costco in partnership with the UW gave me 10,000 per year for four years. But it was a diversity scholar scholarship.

Don't you normally have to apply for them? Athletes get scholarships, other than that, I'm uncertain if they hand them out like candy.

I remember UW told me to apply before the Dec. 1 deadline in order to qualify for scholarships and honors... so I assume there is something that they're handing out for applicants. I'm not sure.

I got a $2,500 scholarship from the UW business school. I didn't apply for it, either. I just logged into my email a few days ago and there was the email from UW.

If you applied by Dec. 1, you have a better shot at scholarships but there's no guarantee. UW's kinda stingy with scholarship money so most students just get loans in their financial aid package. If you're from the State of Washington, have 2 letters of recommendation, and a few other requirements, you might qualify for the UWAA Alumnae Board: Mission, History, Officers. It is due tomorrow though, so it's a bit of a rush.

The Honors Program gave out some scholarships.
