University Writing Professors

Any professors your recommend to or not to take for UW?

It doesn’t really work that way with core classes. Many UW preceptors, or graduate student instructors, only teach the course once or twice.

So, since so many of them are grad students in two-year programs, they’re here and gone pretty quickly. It’s a throw of the dice with UW. Good luck!

What hellojan said. You can get lucky and get a fairly easy (easy grading) instructor. Or, you can get an instructor who, ostensibly, only gives out, at best, A-'s.

All you can do is hope for one that’s not neurotic and on a grad-student power-trip.

So…you know, good luck with that.

Has anyone here taken Professor Cymyrrah G Ramirez?

Although they’re here and gone pretty quickly, try browsing them on CULPA. I’ve chosen an easy grader through it rather than relying on luck.

It’s worth checking CULPA, for sure. I chose a prof who has a reputation as a harder greater, but a better professor who actually cares about the course. If I have to take it, I’d like to learn from it rather than just get an easy A (or so I say now…).

Justin Snider, the best IMHO
