UNM to eliminates 8 degrees; adds 1

<p>UNM has announced it will eliminate 8 degree programs, effective Summer 2011:</p>

<p>Russian, Russian Studies; Chemistry Education (an education degree), Portuguese, a joint program in philosophy and economics, all graduate Portuguese degrees; Ph.D. programs in French studies and Latin American studies.</p>

<p>UNM has added a MS and PhD program in Biomedical Engineering. The programs will officially open Fall 2011.</p>

<p>Thanks for keeping us posted on the happenings at UNM. Just found out this week that son received the Amigo Scholarship and has sent in his application to be considered for the Regents on top of it. It is nice that UNM is on someone’s radar here.</p>
