Finalist in Miami! All the build up had me so looney that I actually sobbed and scared the heck out of S.
Finalist in Connecticut! Letter arrived today via US mail to my home (it sure is thin, certificate is mailed separately to the school). We are on the NY border, so hang in there NY and NE people, despite the snow, they are coming!

Hey @albert69, thanks, congratulations to you, too, and I guess I’ll have to get a thick mat and frame to give the dinky certificate some thickness. 
I got the finalist letter. So now what?
Letter finally arrived in Chicago (and yes, it is dinky; it looks like an invoice )

@MrWiggles Are you a student or a parent? Are you planning on getting a NMF scholarship at a college?
@albert69 I’m a student. I am not sure if I’m going to get a NMF scholarship. I don’t know how it works. I got accepted EA to UVA and most likely will be attending unless I get into some good schools when regular decision comes.
Congrats to all those receiving the good news from school and/or mail at home!! <:-P D2 has not heard anything officially through either means yet, but school was cancelled today so it’s possible she might get the home mailing first. This is our second time around with NM, so it’s not as stressful as the first time but it doesn’t make the waiting any less irritating. Well worth it in the long run though, especially for those families who will be taking advantage of the large scholarships available!!
I got my letter in the mailbox today here in NY confirming I got finalist status! I’m thrilled!
The school notified us earlier in the week, but the official NMSC letter arrived via U.S. Mail today. Congratulations to all the Finalists!
P.S. We’re in north-central Oklahoma.

I got my letter today! (I’m in Alabama). Still have not heard anything from HS though (not surprising because they sat on PSAT scores for a month)…
@MrWiggles Well, it’s still an honor to be a NMF. The two big NMF schools are University of Oklahoma and University of Alabama and those deadlines haven’t passed yet if you’re interested (neither has Wichita State University’s, which is where I’m going), but if not, I’m sure you’ll do fine at UVA. There are other colleges that do give large scholarships though, if you are interested.
