My son received his letter today. We are in New Orleans.
I got my letter today in Nebraska.
Finalist in Texas today!!! We just opened our letter. I should say my son just opened his letter, but it feels like a family accomplishment. 
Never heard from the school, but received the NM letter today. D is a Finalist! Got my heart shaped box full of candy, D got me a carrot walnut cupcake, it’s Friday, and now this. For those that are tracking, we are in North Texas.
No news in South Dakota.
Congrats @GoAskDad and all of the other finalists. Unfortunately, between the ridiculous workload on our GC’s, and DD at college for all classes, we will just have to wait.

@hofmannmd - no news here in MN, either. And no school/mail on Monday (sigh). Guess I’ll cling to the hope that a rejection should have come by now if DD was not going to be a finalist. Still …
Congrats to all who got letters today! And SO many Texans with good news! No letter here yet in H-Town, but a classmate of my son’s received his today. So I am hopeful for mañana! If nothing mañana. I may just start stressing again!

@Barfly, waiting makes hearing the news sweeter! I like my sweets but don’t think I have a sweet tooth. I prefer groceries. So I am glad I got the official news today. Hope you hear soon.

San Jose, CA. My son just got in, school got letter Yesterday. He has 1 C, a few B’s with unweighted GPA of 3.7 and near perfect SAT.

It was incredible to log on & see all your congratulations this morning.
Of course, I learned that DS is NMF Thursday night…and one of my younger kids comes down with the flu early Friday morning! So…it’s back to reality for everybody in my house. Well, maybe not quite - but it’s definitely par for the course around here! 
It was great to see the latest NMFs report in. @Barfly, I doubt your DS’s letter is in my mailbox, but I will absolutely check with my neighbors. Gosh, I just realized…what will my neighbors do now for entertainment?! They’ve all been carefully checking their mail for me each day, and they probably still are. I’ve been on Nurse Duty the entire day/night, so nobody even knows about DS’s NMF except for you people! And our poor hapless mail dude can go back to being poor & hapless. I had a little chat with him in mid-January and I think he has felt stressed to “do more” than get our mail delivery right @ 50% of the time. So he will be particularly grateful that this saga has ended. I’m happy to oblige and will give him a reprieve Tuesday. Oh, and my 88-year-old mother can scale-back on praying all her decades of the rosary. I mean, she’ll still say the rosary every day, but I think it has been getting an extra workout lately.
Now, I especially want to thank our most recent poster who reported-in with a C on the transcript. I’ve already forgotten who that was - sorry! For historical purposes, I’m going to link the “rejection letter” threads to this one, so folks coming after us will know that there IS hope in some circumstances.
** If any other posters have DCs with a semester C(s) and their transcript and would be willing to share details in this thread,** it might prove useful to those coming along after us. So many times on CC I’ve read that even one C can take a student out of the NMF running - and, obviously, it can - because we have all seen this. However, it doesn’t “always” have to be the case. Maybe we can give the next round of students & parents something to hold onto while they wait. For some students & parents, NMF is a nice-to-have-but-not-essential. For others, the scholarship options mean a lot more. I hope some comments on this thread can provide a balanced, realistic picture of what might be possible for certain students, even with a semester C.
I’ll continue to follow all the good news on Saturday, working around Nurse Duty. Then, on Sunday, DS & I are gonna take this NMF out for a little spin and travel to a college with a really nice National Merit Scholarship! He has been accepted there, but after ALL the hoopla of multiple college applications and waiting for NMF results, it seems his heart is probably still at our state flagship. The more we see/learn about his options there, the more we all think it’s a great fit & do-able with KU’s National Merit Scholarship. But there’s still time to consider other options, too.
Finally, Parents: Please come join the Parents of HS Class of 2015 thread if you haven’t already! We have a great group of posters there (though I have been lax about keeping up with them in the past month). We even have our own ship, “The Parents of HS Class 2015 USS Indecision,” a.k.a. “Love thy Safety” Boat. We have a Skipper, our own Gilligan, Cruise Directors, plenty of fruity drinks & entertainment, cabana boys (!) and not-one-but-two Mary Anns! So don’t lose touch after this thread dwindles down! And @albert69, I’m quite certain there’s room for at least one Student Poster on that parent thread. One of my very fave CC threads (besides this one and our NMSF thread) is the Parents of HS Class 2013 thread. They had/have their own Official Student Poster on that thread, so I’m sure you are welcome, too.
Here’s the link, for those who want to join the Parents thread - but we should definitely keep this thread going at least until everyone has a college decision to report! I’d love to know where all the students wind up.
And good luck to everyone still waiting. There’s mail delivery on Saturday, so even if your DC’s school didn’t notify you this week, perhaps you’ll get one of those NMF “Dear Finalist” letters sent to the home on 2/9. I’m going to let our mail dude out of his misery on Tuesday, so @Barfly, will you please keep a lookout for my DS’s letter? I’ll do the same for you.

DD just came home from work. I handed her the envelope to open. She thought it was bad news…then I heard a SCREAM: “YES!” Fist-pumping, YES! Now back to our regular programming schedule.
I love this thread! More drama than Law and Order and a lot more fun. Thanks to all the contributors for creating such a supportive community and congratulations to the NM finalists and their parents. We’re still on mailbox watch in Maryland.
