I'm friends with a Swarthmore student and they'd like to have me over for an overnight visit. The overnight visit page on Swarthmore's website says that they do not run overnight visits past a certain date in October. Is visiting my friend out of the question because of this? Or is it different because I would not need to be matched with a student via the admissions office? Are unofficial visits like this allowed? Thank you!

It’s totally fine. You don’t need to sign up through the admissions office. Once you are there, though, you should go to the admissions office, see if there are any tours schedulesd, and sign your name in the visitor’s book.

You may also be able to sit in on some classes!
