Unofficial Transcript Trick

Hopefully this trick still works…

This is a bit off topic, but if you get denied to a major at UW, can you try to get readmitted in a different major? I applied to CS but I don’t know if I’ll get in or not.

@wiifixp‌ If you get denied to a major, you are then simply admitted to the general UW and apply to a major by the end of your sophomore year. You do not get rejected by the University simply because you were not offered DA.

@orangemaple‌ Really??! Sweet!

Will they mention that in the decision letter?
Can you be denied entirely from UW?

Thanks :slight_smile:

Well you can still be denied completely though .-.
But yeah if you’re denied from DA to your choice of major, you can reapply once you’re in UW. You’ll just be Undeclared until then.

Hooly literally everyone applied for CS lol. If I get accepted to the school then I’m 99% sure I won’t be directly admitted to the CS program because it’s so competitive.

@Yvask95‌ Ok, great. Thanks!

@GustavMahler‌ I know, right! Well good luck to you! :slight_smile:

I applied for CS as well XD
I’m not really expecting DA though. I’m just hoping to get in…

I’d be curious to see when people started seeing their unofficial transcripts on here. I’m sure that a lot of the students on this forum would see theirs around the same time.

Everyone make sure to tell us if you’re unofficial transcript loads :smiley:

What’s DA ?
And yes, another CS guy here.
From what I’ve read, they literally just admit the top class freshman into CS.
But then it becomes so difficult for others.
There is no guareentee you’ll get into CS if you start college at UW.
The admission to CS after freshman year needs top grades and new perfect gpa.

DA=Direct Admit, RA= Regular Admission.
DA is when you get into your selected major immediately. RA is where you get in, but you’re undeclared. DA to CS in UW is extremely competitive. Only 30% get in DA.

Hey all. Just thought I’d add that I’m a CS major too. Whoop whoop. Looking pretty slim for chances this year haha.

We could all post our stats here and see how we par up to each other :smiley:

@Loganmr97‌ Lol I did Boot Camp as well haha. When did you do it? I did it summer of 2014. Maybe we have met before.

I tried the trick, and my transcript loaded with a SID# today. I’m a transfer student, and recieved an email from CSE notifying my acceptance into the department last friday, though trancript didn’t load until today.

@Yvask95‌ oh yea cool. Yea, I apparently wrote about it above.
If you get into regular, will you attend?

@orangemaple so did I!
