<p>I'm currently a senior and considering Humboldt State, which is about 5 hours away from home for me. I'm a really social person so I don't think making friends will be a problem. I just want some advice on moving without any of my friends or anything, cause' I'm really nervous.. it just seems like a big step</p>
<p>Not a big deal. Most people, social or not, are able to make a lot of friends in college. I don’t see why it should be a problem, considering that you describe yourself as “really social”</p>

<p>I moved across the nation for school, and I was able to find a lot of friends here just by smiling and stepping out of my comfort zone to try new things. I think you will be fine as long as you remain as social as you say you are.</p>
<p>The first week of school you might not have much work, so take advantage of that by trying out different clubs or organizations, or going to parties to meet people you might not otherwise meet.</p>
