Moving

I'm contemplating Humboldt which is like 5 or 6 hours away from home. Non of my friends plan on attending there which is a little nerve wrecking. Humboldt is also realllllllly popular for their excessive marijuana use, which might be a bit of a distraction with the habits I have now. Just lookin for advice on moving out and starting next year off right.

why would you want to go to school that has drug use.. besides of staying near home?

Yeah, why would you want to go to a drug-popular school? Your home is 5/6 hours away from there? You might as well consider UC Davis or others.

What does "school that has drug use" mean? That makes no sense. All schools have drug use.

Humbolt County is highly liberal and is sunny and perfect conditions for growing marijuana. That's why HSU has that rep. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

As for friends, I wouldn't expect to see any of my friends in college.

Drugs are going to be everywhere I go, I'm just saying that there is an excessive amount of marijuana use in the area. I love the atmosphere. I just want some advice about moving out. It's a far move. Know anyone that might go there or plan to in the fall?
