<p>Hi guys,
My name is Emily and I'm editor of Towerview (The Chron's student news magazine). I'm writing a story for our upcoming issue about admissions at Duke. I was wondering if any of you have an unusual admissions story (i.e. you were deferred ED and then did something amazing and convinced admissions to let you in Regular Decision). Maybe you did something highly unusual during the admissions process (write a song professing your love for Duke and recorded it on CDs which you sent to the admissions officers? Baked Guttentag cookies? you know what I mean). OR, alternately, I am looking for students who were rejected from Duke, but whom everyone assumed would get in (maybe your really cool friend with a great app who for some reason was rejected?). Do you fit the bill for any of these students? How about your friends (who go to other schools even?).</p>
