Unweighted class rank?

So my school uses unweighted ranks. We have a 100 point scale, and currently based on my gpa- 94.2/100, I'm ranked 38/400. This makes barely within the top 10%. I'm currently a junior and I'm taking 6 AP's and I should be taking some college classes by senior year. How much does this rank hurt me? I also have an upward trend in my gpa (91.7 freshman, 94.1 sophomore, and 96.7 junior plus predicted 96 senior year) and my school is competitive-(20-30 kids to T20, HYPSM, etc.)

When your GC writes up the school profile, be sure she/he mentions that the rank is unweighted. You can also make a note of it in the “additional information” area of applications.

You are still in the top 10%–congrats.

Particularly good if your school gets 20-30 into HYPSM, etc.

you have a shot at it

Because your school is so competitive, you still have a chance at top schools.
