Unweighted GPA's

<p>The only colleges i can think of that have a unique GPA system are the UC’s. Past that, all commonapp colleges and such just get the GPA that’s on your transcript. I’m sorry that I don’t have more specific information, but I applied to quite a lot of schools and the UC’s are the only ones with a different calculation method.</p>

<p>It would be pretty tedious to enter and recalculate GPAs for perhaps tens of thousands of college applications every year. In many cases, the admin reading the file knows the specific school, otherwise a quick glance at a couple of stats would show one’s relative performance: one’s class rank and the median, high and low GPAs for the school, which can be found on the high school’s official profile.</p>

<p>Some schools use the GPA on your HS transcript, but others recalculate. Many selective school recalculate using unweighted grades and only core classes.</p>
