UofT Application Process for US Students?

@Sterny16 In post #2, you said your ACT was 32.

Canadian universities will often adjust applicants’ GPA to compensate for how well their high school’s students have done at university in the past. For international students, it’s less likely that they have the data to do this, thus they will rely more on your ACT score and your supplement. I don’t have specific information on Rotman’s supplement, other than what was in the link, but IME with other Canadian supplements, probably the most important factor that will determine whether or not you get in will be your ability to communicate. The Rotman supplement is timed and part of it is a video that you will upload to them. As they say in the link above -

AND

Although Canadian schools are going somewhat holistic in recent years, they are not looking for the world’s greatest essay that strikes a chord with the reader - they’re looking for people who can communicate well in English. If you can do that, you have put your best foot forward.

Good luck!

@bouders Thanks, I think because of what you said my grades and scores are good enough, and its really up to the essays/ video response I make that determines my acceptance.

OP, your grades are very likely to be sufficient. As @bouders pointed out, grades, particularly your average percentage in junior and senior years, as well as your standardized test scores, are extremely important to Canadian colleges. For ACT, the minimum score to be considered at UofT is 26, so your score is good. They also expect a combination of SAT or AP tests that covers at least 2 different subjects.

In my opinions, UofT is much easier to get in comparing to a top US college but extremely hard to get into a good program or graduate on time; however, Rotman Commerce at St. George might be a different story as it is much more competitive. I applied from California with a 31 ACT, 750 in SAT Math and 800 in SAT Chinese. My average UW GPA for junior and senior years is probably 3.75. I was rejected by Rotman but offered a place in Social Science. I did poorly on the supplementary application because I didn’t give a fuck and was not prepared. I think you will do just fine if you kill that supplementary app!
