Upcoming Sophmores...Classes for Next Year?

<p>You betcha. This is a spinoff of the juniors/seniors schedule thread. Post away. I'll post my schedule later because I'm in scheduling hell right now...ugh.</p>

<p>Hon Algebra II - Year
Hon Chemistry 1 - Year
Hon English 10 - Year
Hon U.S. History - Year
Lunch/Study Hall - Year
Spanish 1 - Year
Weight Training - Semester
Weight Training - Semester</p>

<p>Ugh, I don't know yet still. Most probably:</p>

<p>First semester:
Health/Writing -- required
Phys. Cond -- required
AP Language or Pre-AP English
AP Chemistry 1
Second semester:
AP Comp Science
AP Government or APUSH or something else
Pre-Calculus -- no honours
AP CHemistry 2</p>

<p>I'd be surprised if this isn't the most intense schedule. I'm trying to, but doubt I'll be quite able to, be Valedictorian, and my school is incredibly insane about that.</p>

<p>I'm taking zero hour and auditing on my lunch (no lunch for me) to fit this stuff.</p>

<p>AP Language
AP Stat
AP Euro
AP World
Analysis (goes to GPA like AP, basically double honors)
Hon. Chem 111
Spanish III/IV Honors
Orchestra (top orchestra, like that matters)</p>

<p>Most people take 6 classes. We're not on block, so eight is crazy. I'm one of, I believe 2 (three max) in a class of ~670 doing this.
I don't know why I posted in this thread, I hate ones where we all just post things that don't ask for or give advice.</p>

<p>What's "Analysis" in terms of regular courses? Furthergoing of Calculus BC?</p>

<p>So is this for future juniors or future sophomores?</p>

<p>Maybe I am going crazy but I see AP Chemistry 2. </p>

<p>When I look at the official college board website it isn't listed there:</p>

<p><a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/subjects.html%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/subjects.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>Gumball:</p>

<p>The title reads upcoming Sophomores so what do you think? Obviously people that are going to be Sophomores. </p>

<p>NOTE: Author misspelled Sophomore just like the upcoming Junior thread creator misspelled Junior. Heh.</p>

<p>Nam3less, our school has two blocks AP Chemistry -- I forgot to add nd/rd part probably. Sorry.</p>

<p>Mad pride for 007, dude. Mad pride.</p>

<p>Honors Algebra 2 (Might be able to skip ahead to Honors Analysis)
Honors English 10th
AP US History 1 (It's a two year class at my school; I have no clue why lol)
Honors Chemistry
French 3
Band
Music Theory (Half Year)
Gym (Half Year)</p>

<p>Unfortunately, my school only offers 1 AP to Sophmores. But by the end of HS I will have taken 6.</p>

<p>Ah!!!! I misspelled sophomore! Thanks nam3less. Sophomore always gets me with that silent o in there.
I'm really jealous that you all are able to take all those APs sophomore year. My school decided to only allow psychology to sophs this year. What's funny is that the principal didn't even know about it. Ugh.</p>

<p>You mispelt misspelled.</p>

<p>what is zero hour?</p>

<p>My schools starts around 8:20. Zero hour is just another hour to take classes from 7:15-8:15. It's optional and you pay for it. </p>

<p>Analysis is the spiffied up verison of honors algebra trig. Alg.Trig:Hon alg trig::hon alg trig:analysis.</p>

<p>Its double honors and gives a 5.0 for an a, like an ap, instead of a 4.5 like an honors.</p>

<p>Chem H
Trig H
PE
Eng 10 H
AP European History
Spanish 3</p>

<p>we dont have ap's for sophs..but this is the hardest schedule for my school and it actually is toughh lol</p>

<p>religion2
honors english2
honors geometry
honors chem
honors World history (sem 1)
honors us history (sem 2)
honors french3
health [pass/fail class]
p.e[pass/fail class]
band[pass/fail class]</p>

<p>...here's mine</p>

<p>AP Euro
AP Latin (literature)
Chemistry
Math Analysis
Honors English
Health/PE
and probably journalism or something</p>

<p>Our school only has Honors classes for English.</p>

<p>Slacker year. Honestly. There was only one AP and one honors I could have taken and I didn't get recommended for either of them, but I wasn't planning on it anyway. I'm actually really looking forward to this year because I'm not taking any hard classes (for me, anyways).</p>

<p>First semester:
English 10- My best subject, and I usually do pretty well
French 3- Brand-new teacher, so I don't exactly know how this will work out, but I'm hoping it will be for the best
Geometry- I already had a semester of it in middle school, which is supposed to give a really good background for the full courses
Chemistry- same as above
Chamber Singers- we...sing. And it's with a bunch of really awesome people. I'm so excited for this group
Computer Graphics 1- Computer courses come really easily to me and I love anything having to do with digital photography so...
Music History- don't know if this will be offered yet, so I might take an Independent Study instead. But I've already had a middle school course in Music Appreciation that gave me a background for most of this course, and I'm really fond of the topic
Guitar Lessons- I told myself I would start this summer so that in the fall it wouldn't be so foreign...that hasn't happened yet. But I'm so excited to learn a new instrument!</p>

<p>Yeah...my second semester courses are a little iffy right now...Acting 1 and Modern Europe hopefully, and I don't know about Chorus, Chamber Singers, or Orchestra, which I'm going to see if I can fit into my schedule. </p>

<p>~<em>09</em>~</p>
