Update worth it?

I just found out I was an AIME qualifier today, out of all the years I took the test, this was the first tiem I qualified. I dunno if I should send an update, cuz this is really the only thing, and also I'm applying as a History major. Should I:
a) not send the update
b) send the update
c) send the update and make it formal, like resend my resume and anything new that has happened cuz sending one update is not worth it???

I sent an update. What was your score? I just wrote a letter (kinda formal), signed it, and asked my guidance counselor to fax it in. Some have said it depends on your score, and others that it's fine so long as you qualified for AIME. I don't really know. I was pretty happy with my score, all things considered, so I sent it in.

Are AMC/AIME scores even significant for the Princeton app? Cuz I got a 118.5 on the AMC 12 this yr, i wonder if that is worth sending in.

i updated every school i applied to about my 115 AMC 12...nothing formal, just a quick e-mail

yeah i updated also about the same thing, and i added in the fact that i found out i became a nat'l merit finalist (since i found out a week ago), although I think that at this late point I wonder if it will be considered

I can't remember, was there even a spot for AMC/AIME scores on the origional Princeton app? (I applied with the common app anyway.)

I do not believe that there were spots for AMC/AIME scores on the Princeton apps but there are spots for those tests on the MIT and Caltech applications. I can not speak with authority on this but a high score may be important to report for those intending to major in math or going into engineering.
