6th grade had 1 "C+" ( Not to sound excuse-y, but I was out of the country for 2 weeks at the end of the trimester so I never took a computation test even though I did complete most of my homework on the trip)

-All As last year, All As this year (with exception of an A-) at a top public school with NO grade inflation.

-Interviews went well. But then again, most interviews tend to go well because the interviewer purposely tries to make you feel comfortable.

Will be needing financial aid.

P.S. sorry for the awkward formatting

@swimmergirl3, I do not chance kids, sorry, but can give you a small suggestion, If you speak Cantonese and or Mandarin, AND it is taught as a foreign language at the schools you are applying to, contact the department head/teacher and express your interest in continuing it at BS, if admitted. Also, by “speaking” you mean ONLY speaking, or reading and writing as well?

I speak, read, write Mandarin

So, just reach out to the teacher/department head and express your interest in continuing. It is not going to hurt, but they might send a note to AO expressing your interest.

If you happen to be Chinese-American and speak Chinese, then it should not count much because AOs would take it for granted. Speaking a second language is not a rare case, unless it’s a native level. So I don’t see a big point of having a dep’t head speak for you to AO.
