I got my updated financial aid package today, and Yale is giving me $3,000 more than before. The parents are happy. :)

Anyone else?

I got my updated financial aid package today, and Yale is giving me $3,000 more than before. The parents are happy. :)

Anyone else?

Me too! My self-help is higher, though, but not much.

Oh, I had a question (sorry for digression). Do any of you plan to work on campus?

I think that I will. I looked on the job postings today, and the jobs seem very interesting plus the fact that the minimum wage for a campus job is more than I am making now.

Yes, the jobs are exciting. And plus, I HAVE to work, since I'm on full FinAid.:) Which ones appeal to you?

There was one where you translate videotapes of Holocaust victims, plenty of lab/science/research assistantships, they even pay people to play instruments. I don't happen to play anything yet, but I like to keep my options open.

Ack. I still haven't received my financial aid package yet. I got the "Congratulations again" packet in the mail today, and the first thing i looked for were the finaid papers. But alas, I searched eagerly to no avail.
Did you all receive your finaid package with the rest of your updated acceptance papers?

chezfleur, I liked the designing of brochures for the Art Museaums, and working at Peabody. And research for polisci profs is great too).

I would like to work in the library, one of the art museums, or the A&A Building in some capacity, I think...

Oh, and my self-help was a little higher too, but luckily, you can use scholarships to cover that portion.

Halfbaiked: My financial aid came in a separate envelope (it came on the same day as the "Congratulations again" packet, though).

I would love to work in the library too (love the place), but they say you have to carry heavy-weight stuff, and I'm a fragile girl:( Uhhhh, not for me:(

Hmm - heavy lifting involved? Didn't know that - I'm a bit of a weakling myself... :p

yeah, they mentioned this somewhere...like "be prepared". so we'll be better off at the Music library :):):)

I think I'd like to work in the science department somewhere. I may have to compete with the grad students, though. The library would be ideal for me during freshman year.

I didn't get mine yet. :(

When did we get this forum? just wondering....

Like a week ago.

And I think between yesterday and today, they changed the format again. With this black line around the quick reply. Changes are confusing for me.
