Updating Stanford - through email?

I emailed the local admin officer about an update to my application and I got an automated email back.

Should I just let it sit or is there a better to contact admissions?

You need to fax the update to the admissions office. It might be too late now, but I know that faxing is by far the preferring method.

Thank you for the info… can’t hurt to try can it?

Do you have any specific details on how the cover letter should look (who to address it to, name, birth date, etc?). Like if I just fax them a random page wouldn’t it seem kind of weird?

"Thank you for contacting the Office of Undergraduate Admission at Stanford University.

Please send a fax to (650) 723-6050 for updates, changes or corrections you wish to make to your application. On the fax, please include your full name, date of birth and Common Application ID number.

Best,
Stanford University
Office of Undergraduate Admission"

I hope that helps.

Yes indeed, much appreciated sir.

wow you got an automated response? I didn’t get any :stuck_out_tongue: … but I had sent an update in an email like 10days ago… and I didn’t hear from them, so I called them up. The lady at the desk said they couldn’t confirm that the update has been added but if I had emailed it, it would have been, and I would get no notification that it has been added.

That wasn’t automated. It took like a week after I sent the email.

My counselor sent them an update but he only had my school’s info and my name.
Do you think it will matter?

I meant if it would make a difference that I had less information on it

hmm I havent received any reply yet. Its been like 2 weeks+.
