They gave my son two weeks from June 11. He accepted, but if any from that wave say no, I’m sure they’ll reach out to more.
thank you for the positive words! Did they give good financial aid?
Penn’s Net Price Calculator (not MyInTuition calc) was a very good crystal ball. There were no surprises.
Are we positive that the remaining acceptances are only leftovers from the last wave? Could there be a new wave too?
My response was meant as a: at minimum. There might be another wave. Who knows?
we’re definitely nearing the end, but I’ve seen “extended waitlist vs. rejection” for previous years, so I’m pretty certain that we won’t see the end until that email is received
How does the extended waitlist work?
For extended waitlist, I’m pretty sure there are no waves and people only get in if Penn suddenly has an open spot
Are we expecting something tonight?

Penn announced Fall plans for hybrid instruction today.
My daughter is waitlisted as well. I hope more spots open up! Wishing everyone the very best!
Anyone here anything today?
Nothing as of 6pm. I’ve been praying so hard to get in and I just feel numb now
This is normally when any updates come, right?
I’m a little worried, but this happened on June 4th too? Like it was supposed to come out on the 4th and came out on the 11th instead
Damn, looks like it is going to extend into July.
Guys … I genuinely mean this with my best of intentions. Please don’t spend every waking minute waiting to see if you get off the waitlist. First, I am sure you are all going to wonderful schools and are going to go onto amazing things (Penn waitlisted us because of a lack of space, not a lack of qualifications). Second, this process is just, simply put, not fair. With so many factors out of our hands, we won’t always get the outcomes we sought. I wish you all nothing but the best, and I really do hope you get off the waitlist, but if you haven’t already, please become excited for the schools you are going to. If Penn didn’t remove you from the waitlist, there is without a doubt a shot, but please don’t let it take away from your mental health. I am not saying not to send updates or try everything you can to get in, but please don’t let this eat away at you. Good luck and best wishes to everyone!!
My D was accepted from the waitlist on 6/11, SEAS. She received her FA letter two days ago, unfortunately she did not receive any FA. She will not be able to attend, and she turned her acceptance down yesterday. She loves UPenn, what a great school, but she will not attend. Good luck everyone still waiting!
@kat158
Did your daughter think of appealing for FA? Penn is very generous with FA. I sent in 2 appeals until Penn gave me the FA I needed. (I am now paying $40,000 less than the original amount I was supposed to pay! Thank God!).
They looked at our W2s and 2018 tax return, and decided that we are full pay just one day before the two weeks expired from June 11th. There was no time for appeal.
Did everyone just get an email from UPenn? I got an email telling me that they’re unable to offer me a place rn and to wait till mid-July for the final decision
