For France movies, might i suggest “Jeux d’Enfants” with Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet or the original “LOL”?

@cruxclaire

I know the feeling of mixing up languages! I started learning Mandarin at the same time as Spanish so I mix them up all the time.

Not only that, but my school (as well as many of my friends) is French speaking. So I am completely bilingual but I speak in both languages at the same time when I find the perfect words in one language but not in another.

I am also around the C1 level for Spanish (I’m in the advanced class: B2/C1). One regret that I have about languages is that my family is Lebanese and though I tried, I never learned to speak Arabic. I can understand everything that my parents tell me, but I have to answer in English.

haven’t been on this thread in a while (I have tried to stay off cc for the most part until decision day)

but hey cruxclaire! Goodbye Lenin is one of my favorite movies! (easily top 3). My German isn’t great so I had to watch it with subtitles though.

I’d also like to make a quick change to the list, I don’t know when this happen but my name in graysonw not raysonw

@cruxclaire RIGHT? I thought logan lerman was just another pretty face but when he did the whole scene where he said “stop crying. stop crying” i was just like PLEASE STOP CRYING YOU’RE BREAKING MY HEART. He pulled off the awkwardness so well. And it was nice seeing Paul Rudd in sch a reserved way.

Guys I cant handle this waiting. I seriously obsessively check my email even though I know nothing’s coming out for like two months. It’s a serious problem now haha

So basically I applied RD before the ED deadline, all my documents have been sent and I had my interview already! We are already done with the first month! (Mentally I’m keeping track of decisions in a three-month basis) two more to go!

Fun fact about me: now that some people here where talking about language, I learned Italian independently :)

^
Italian is such a pretty language, it just rolls off your tongue so nicely.
I wanted to learn Italian because I already speak French and Spanish and Latin-based languages are very similar.
How did you go about learning it independently?

Actually i don’t know for rd applicants but deferred applicants find out march 28th ( I am sure since i got deferred and it was written on the letter"

Just so that, another me doesn’t find himself/herself clueless with similar stats( which is neither here nor there kind… if you get what I mean!) :p

Sorry if this has already been discussed (I don’t think it has in the last few pages at least).
Does anyone know if Penn has released the number of RD apps for this year?
Just wondering, since I know the ED apps went up significantly.
Thanks and good luck to everyone!
