UPENN + common app question

<p>Hey guys, i have a common app question about the art supplementary materials. I am an electronic music producer, but i am self taught. On the common app art supplement section, it asks for a recommendation by a music teacher or something. What if you cant get this? i want upenn to see my music but i cannot acquire such a rec. What do i do?</p>

<p>also, if you are interested in research as a freshman, they said to try and find a professor and mention it. Where would be the appropriate place in either the common app or the upenn supplement to mention this?</p>

<p>in te rec section, write that you are seld taught and thus have no rec</p>

<p>regarding research, you can either put this in the additional sections on the main common app or call/email them to let them know. Hope this helps</p>
