anyone? please =]

You might get in because of your variety of research. If you do get in, that’s why.

Well, I realize that already. I wasn’t sure if my research was enough to get me in though.

thanks! =]

Penn will defer you- then probably deny. You will need a solid list of matches and safeties. Do some research and find some schools that will accept you and give you some aid.

chance back please!!!

apply JHU ED, you’ll be fine, relax, it’s acceptance rate was 493/1155 last year which is about 43%. also consider Duke, which, like penn, has about a 32% acceptance rate ED.

SAT CR: 670-770
SAT Math: 690-790
SAT Writing: 670-770
ACT: 31-34

also these are JHU’s stats, so again, you’re above average, people on here are so ****ing negative. if you apply JHU ED you’ll get in, I say it’s a high match.

yeah I was pretty confident with JHU ED

haha thanks! =]

anyone else have any thoughts?
ill chance back!

thanks!

Is JHU part of QB? If so you can apply to both Penn and JHU using QB at once.

you certainly have unique and impressive extracurriculars. how many high schoolers have done neurological research anyway? not many, and admissions officers love to see students doing non traditional activities, not to mention it shows initiative and intelligence. your GPA isn’t super strong, but it is fairly solid, so that shouldn’t damage your chances. your gpa won’t help you, but it won’t hurt you either. applying ED is a good idea, that will help increase your chances at admission. I would say you definitely have a good chance whether you apply to UPenn or JHU (i would personally not apply to JHU, the students there are fairly cutthroat, or so i’ve heard), just make sure you have some back up schools to apply to should you get deferred. Good luck, i’m sure you’ll do fine!

chance back!

That sounds great! I haven’t fully decided what to do yet. JHU is not apart of the QB process. I wish it were lol it would make my life a lot easier! =]

anyone else/ =]

does QB help students with such a low gpa as mine get into schools like UPenn?

QB allows you to apply to several top schools at once early which is not possible otherwise for a non-QB person. Other than that, it does nt give you an advantage besides showing that you should be given full FA.

so would i be a good candidate for matching to top schools like upenn through their program? I never really understood how this is an advantage over UPenn ED?

If you apply UPenn, ED, you apply to one school.

If you apply QB, you are applying to 5 schools at once. So if one picks you, you know first week of December that you have college you can go to free of charge.

chance for a chance back?

anyone else? thanks! =]

GPA is going to be a major problem. Hopefully the ECs can make up for it, but as academics are the most important part of the decision process for these schools, having a 3.56 will most likely still make it pretty hard to get in. Definitely apply ED to the school you most want to go to, because without it, your chances would be much, much less likely.
