1400-1450 = below average, need a solid hook for consideration
1450-1500 = probably just in the mix, good for hooked kids but for unhooked kids I’d retake
1500-1540 = just on or above the average (in your case, a bit better than “decent”), this is where you get serious consideration as an applicant.
1540+ = fantastic, focus on other parts of your app
@piisgood The individual schools and programs acceptance rates are not made publicly available. But it is safe to say that the M&T acceptance difficulty is similar to Harvard/Stanford. if i had to guess i would say the overall M&T acceptance rate is prob around 4-5%.
@kassh4 By 11/1, my school says to request at least two weeks before the deadline (and provide a transcript release form w/ stamped envelopes), although yours may vary.
Hi guys, also applying ED to Penn. I was a little behind on taking the SAT subject tests, so I’m actually taking two (math and chem) in November. Would this be too late for applying for ED or can I send it in as supplemental information after the deadline? Thanks! :"> :">
fyi to anyone interested, I have heard that during the the freshman SEAS reception a few days ago, the dean said that the SEAS acceptance rate was 4%. He didn’t explicitly specify if it was overall or RD, but the understanding was that it referred to overall. yikes…
does anyone know how applications to penn are reviewed? is ur app reviewed based on what school you’re applying to, or regardless? do they compare you against other applicants from the same high school?
i actually just decided today to maybe do upenn ed (why do i hate myself), so sorry for coming off as ignorant!
So what other schools can we apply to early action/on a rolling basis? I thought i heard somewhere that you can only apply to public schools early if you apply to penn ED, but was wondering if anyone could confirm?
You cannot simultaneously apply to Penn under the Early Decision program and another college/university under their early notification program, including Early Decision, Restrictive Early Action (also known as Single-Choice Early Action), or Early Action. There are limited exceptions:

You may apply to any public college/university that offers non-binding admissions.
You may apply to any foreign college/university.
You may apply to any college/university with non-binding early deadlines for scholarships.
@aoeuidhtns thank you! so basically we just cannot apply to schools like UChicago or Boston College, which have EA and are not single choice, but are private
