UPenn or NYU?!?!?!?

I am 17 and I have not yet done my ACT but which I plan to do very soon. As it is still early in the application process for me, I like to keep an open mind. My visited many universities when my sister was applying. I have already decided my top two choices but I will be applying elsewhere as well. My top two are UPenn and NYU.

I have been discussing with my dad, who knows all about the university process and also professionals and my sister. They all agree that I have the ability to get into these universities if I keep doing what I am doing. Both are great universities. The two biggest pros for each side is that NYU is in NYC, which I really like and will be great to get internships etc. UPenn on the other hand has Wharton, the best business school in the world.

So now a little bit more about me: My major would be Business, I do like sport and want to play. I like to be social, so I need a uni with a good social life. I also would like to get an apartment with a friend in my Sophomore year, so which university would be best and cheapest for that.

UPenn has the better worldwide recognition.

Wall Street (surprisingly) recruits more from Wharton than from Stern.

When it comes to sports, Wharton will definitely offer you more opportunities and I’ve heard mixed things about NYU’s social scene (it’s hit or miss depending on the type of person, as is the campus).
