@TheWaffleMan149 Aww I know the feeling. I’m assuming Penn has sent all the likely letters at once?
icrievrytiem @kuriosmind
Dear XXX,
My colleagues and I have enjoyed getting to know you through your application to the University of Pennsylvania, and we are convinced you will make truly remarkable contributions to this historic institution. Pending your continued academic success and good standing, when we announce decisions on March 31, 2016, it is likely that you will be admitted to Penn’s 264th class for study in the School of Nursing.
You were selected for this extraordinary distinction because of the compelling voice and perspective that resonated throughout your application. We believe you will thrive at Penn, and that you have a singular ability to make a lasting impact on this campus and the world beyond. Indeed, Penn will not be the same without you.
With this message also comes a special invitation to join us and future members of the Class of 2020 in Philadelphia on April 11-13 for Quaker Days, an overnight program that showcases the breadth of the Penn experience. With current Penn students as your hosts, you’ll be able to explore life along Locust Walk firsthand while living in Penn’s College Houses, attending classes with renowned faculty, and meeting future friends for life. More information about this exciting opportunity is forthcoming, but I certainly look forward to welcoming you to campus in April.
We hope this message allows you and your family to begin confidently envisioning four transformative years at Penn. I look forward to informing you of your official decision at the end of March–and in the meantime, know of my personal admiration for all you have achieved.
Very truly yours,

And after this was an image that said “Congratulations You are a Likely Admitted Student” and invited me to Quaker Days
I think there are so few Nursing applicants (compared to the other schools) that it makes sense for those admitted to find out early… and historically they’ve sent out 2-3 waves of likelies so my guess is dual degree ones are coming out next, maybe later this week? Or they’re already out and I didn’t get in lol

-short explanation on recs/essays
Common App was on my Advanced Anatomy class and my supplement was really specific to Penn nursing
So my recs… one is from my APUSH teacher, and the other is from my Journalism advisor/english teacher… but I’m majoring in science.
I also had a rec from a supervisor from clinic that was really good I think
-additional information
I’m a female Asian American.
The above mentioned “Anatomy” refers to a class we have at our school. The thing is, this program is really unique to a high school, so if you know it, this one class can almost give away my identity (down to 28 people at least.)
It’s a cadaver based class, where the students (there are 28 of us) get to dissect real life cadavers. It’s basically like a first year medical human anatomy class, according to my teacher.
If anyone wants to read my essays, just ask and I’ll PM you them
@stvea349 True. I heard that’s been the case in the past. And dual degree admits also find out early, but they usually receive their LLs 1-2 weeks after. Good luck!
is it only the nursing applicants who got the likely letter today? or any engineering applicants?
@lolacell according to the daily pennsylvanian, it’s everyone.
http://www.thedp.com/article/2015/03/likely-letters-aim-to-recruit-top-applicants
@lolacell Only one person on this thread received a likely letter and it was for nursing. I assume they were all sent at once, but I really hope not since I really want one. Did any international applicants receive a LL?
@chubii i think that one is from last year! (2015) so I was wondering if its same this year D:
@lolacell oh wow you’re right! I’m so sorry haha
@chubii lol no! no problem haha it’s just i didnt hear any likely letters from engineering applicants yet so i was wondering if they send likelys for nursing first then other schools D:
Did it send you an email or did you just check your portal
@chubii That article is from last year. Not sure if it’s the same this year, since we haven’t really heard of anyone receiving a LL in mid Feb. Also, there has been nothing on Penn’s social media, so I’m guessing (hoping) they’re not finished?
@kuriosmind i was thinking the same thing!! or hoping… haha
