*** UPenn RD applicants discussion thread ***

@marie122 I have the same issues. Low-ish class rank and SAT subject tests. But I have a lot of other stuff going for me, and I also applied to a program that I don’t think many others applied to - so I’m really hoping for a miracle!

According to the Ivy Agreement, the college are not allowed to make any contact with students from March 15th-31st. So don’t be nervous if you haven’t received anything from them–I haven’t gotten anything from Penn either and my LL from Cornell I got on the 14th.

@anon9362 what program did you apply to? I applied to Wharton so it’s a long shot for me. Besides, I’ve already accepted my rejection lol

Does anyone know when decisions are to go out?

March 31 @Valerx

I got a letter the 7th asking for my financial aid or my evaluation would be incomplete. I’m assuming my financial evaluation, but do they even get to that part if they haven’t admitted you?

I’m an international applicant and have applied for financial aid. I submitted my CSS profile. How did other international applicants (who have applied for FA) submit theirs?

I’m curious. Is this a lowkey acceptance or routine? I’d rather just let it stop bothering me

@marie122 I applied to the computer science and cognitive science dual degree for artificial intelligence. I was nervous because I thought it would be more competitive than engineering but I actually can’t find anybody else who applied for it. Idk if that’s a good thing or a bad thing or if there are a lot of kids and I just haven’t found them yet…

@anon9362 I applied to this program :slight_smile:

@CardinalSin2020 I would assume it’s pretty routine. I wouldn’t read too much into it. Best of luck!

Are there backdoors into upenn or other ivies, besides Harvard extension school?

@anon9362 I think that Computer and Cognitive Science are part of the Engineering school so I’m assuming you would be competing against other people applying to the Engineering school for the earlier parts of the application readings…but I’m not exactly sure.

@ccconfid just ask your parents to make a small donation of $5 mil to the college and you’re set :stuck_out_tongue:

^^ actually lol I heard of a kid who has parents who donated $5 mil to Duke and he got deferred…

@sodapop027 - Damn, that must’ve been awful :frowning:

Do you have a hook? @jorjimarie

How influential is it that one of my recs was written by the head of the Kelly Writers House?

When do decisions come out? Im sure it was already said in this thread but I can’t find it
