@tateem “Ivy trade day”, that’s hilarious!
I’ll sell my scores to the wait listed if there’s room for a booth in a corner on Ivy trade day.
waitlisted and disappointed but feeling okay and calm
Deferred ED and accepted RD!!
@desie1 I received a letter titled BFS Program which includes the following sentence: “We are writing to invite you to join the Benjamin Franklin Scholars, one of Penn’s most distinctive communities, which provides a select group of students special access to the intellectual resources and challenges of the University.” There’s no link to apply (besides a simple web form that asks for name and address) so I believe that means I was accepted instead of invited to apply, but I’m not 100% sure.
@ramenflavors Thanks for the information - that is different from the letter that CAS students received inviting them to apply. Are you in CAS or another part of Penn? And congratulations to you!
@desie1 Thanks! I’m part of CAS
@ramenflavors That sounds great! That doesn’t seem to be what the other CAS students on the Facebook page are saying. You must have gotten something different. Good for you!
@LordBendtner - I was rejected too and am now probably going to attend Stanford. I guess I will see you there!
There should be an Ivy trade day lol––would be funny. I got rejected from Dart and accepted into Wharton; I’d take Wharton over Dart in a heartbeat, but it’s funny how for some it was the other way around.
Now deciding between Columbia and Wharton. If someone cares to propose some pros and cons that’d be cool because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SCHOOL TO CHOOSE
Hey guys I have been waitlisted by UPenn and I wanted to ask what can I do during my time as a waitlisted applicant to convince the admissions officers that I have an authentic passion for Penn and show why I genuinely want to attend their school? I am supposed to upload one single document to “shed new light on my application” but I don’t know what to include. Any suggestion?
does anyone know what exactly comes in the acceptance mail package, specifically any information on housing?
Thanks
@ambitious96 my kid did receive a booklet about housing, probably with the acceptance packet. It had a chart comparing the college houses. It showed which dorms had a/c, what types of rooms were available (singles, doubles, triples, quads), type of bathroom (in room or community), college house amenities, etc. Son had to rank his top choices by a certain date which was after quaker days. Dorms are assigned randomly so no advantage for registering earlier. He got his first choice and registered near the deadline.
Speaking of housing, you members of the Class of 2020 will be the first to have a brand-new college house among your choices:

@nodaysoff97
DD was admitted to Penn and Columbia 2 years ago. She went to both admitted student days to decide. They are both great, but she chose Penn’s more flexible curriculum over Columbia’s core curriculum. That has allowed her to add a couple of minors and still be done in 4 years.
Other students love the core curriculum, it really depends on your interests.
Deferred ED, accepted RD! Congratulations to everyone!
Deferred ED and accepted RD as well :)! Good luck to you all!
Thanks Islmom. Much appreciated
Lowest accepted gpa and test scores?
My friends are posting their admissions on FB; I’d like to participate. How are you suppose to post?
- UPenn Wharton Class of 2020
- UPenn Wharton C’20
- University of Pennsylvania Class of 2020
- University of Pennsylvania Wharton School C’20
