UPenn Transfer from Columbia University. Help!

Hi!

I am a current Freshman at Columbia University looking to transfer to UPenn (College of Arts and Sciences) for next year, and I was hoping someone could “chance me.”

Current GPA: 3.93, but my midterm report was all A’s.
ACT: 31, 10 in writing.
SAT: 2010
XC’s: SAT tutor, full time babysitter, school newspaper, various other social justice and environmental clubs (as a peer educator, organizer, etc.) I’m also working in a child development lab right now (psych major) and I mentioned that I already have an internship for this summer.

HS GPA: 3.87 (unweighted)
XC’s: Various things but mostly church stuff and theater, and I included a clip from the senior musical. (I’m not applying as a theater major though don’t worry!)

Gender: F
Race: Latina
Financial Aid: No

I also got letters from professors whom I was quite close with, and they basically just had me tell them what they wanted me to write so I know they’ll be decent haha.

Do you think I stand a chance? I’m so nervous!

Care to explain why you are transferring from Columbia into UPenn? Is is a major you are interested in or…? I’m asking cause I really like Penn and wanted some feedback as to what made you decide it wasnt for you.

Yeah, basically when I came to Columbia I had no idea what I wanted to do, but now that I’m dedicated to psychology Penn is for sure the best place for that. Also I have a ton of friends who go to Penn and Drexel and I love university city, I don’t really like living in NY.
