Ok lol I see. I don’t think its that type of thread. I prefer negative input anyway. Telling me what I could do better tells me more than just saying I have decent chances. I have been waiting for constructive criticism, that’s all :p. Im sorry if it made you feel like it was one of those threads :(

i am sorry to kinda destroy your bubble but youve just negated all your applications is a sense by applying to both university of chicago and university of pennsylvania.
chicago is a private institute and so is penn.
you cannot apply to both early.
if you did not know this and applied, its my personal opinion that you were obviously not informed enough or lacked the attention to check.
good luck.

I.don’t mean to “precipitate on your parade” but I’ve never heard of that. One is ED and the other is EA so I don’t understand why it would negate my application

you are not allowed to apply to other schools while applying early decision unless they are public universities

[Early Decision and Regular Decision - Penn Admissions](First-Year Admission | Penn Admissions)

“Early Decision applications are binding and represent a serious commitment to Penn. In signing the Early Decision agreement, a student agrees to withdraw applications from all other schools if admitted to Penn. Further, Early Decision applications supersede any non-binding Early Action applications. A student may apply Early Decision to only one institution. Accordingly, if a student applies Early Decision to the University of Pennsylvania and to another school, the Early Decision application to Penn will be withdrawn.”

sorry to “precipitate on your parade”

@aokijack That says nothing about Early Action. If you’re going to come up with evidence, at least have it relevant to what you stated.

OT: Good luck, hope you get into one of your college choices bro.

UIUC. Cmu and NYU you have a chance. we are in the same boat with 1600/780, not applying to any IVYs. Look for your better fit where your scores are valued and gpa is accepted. I know you are getting tons of mail from these places but reality will be completely different. The minute they see a 2230 or even 2130 with straight As you are history. To elaborate, an IVY league ADCOM said, weeks go by before we see more than 2 Bs in one Transcipt.

Thanks ^ that was actually very helpful in understanding what course I should take for regular decision. Thanks man :)
