Really having big difficulty deciding between these 3 stellar programs! I am definitely applying to Michigan, but it only has EA which leaves me with the choice of Wharton or AEM for early decision; however, I do have some questions/concerns that would be great to have cleared up. Please answer any you can!

Is Cornell AEM more prestigious than UMich Ross?

Cornell AEM and UPenn Wharton have basically the same severe acceptance rate...does this mean they are equally difficult to get accepted to?

Is applying ED more advantageous at Cornell AEM or UPenn Wharton?

How difficult is each undergrad business programs once you're there? Rank easiest to hardest work (if you can).

I realize most people will only be fully knowledgeable about one of these schools, so please just shed any knowledge you have on any school you can. Much appreciated! Thanks :)

Cornell AEM > Michigan Ross for the financial field.

Wharton is significantly more difficult to get it. Wharton is on top of the list for finance/banking and is pretty much as good as you can get.

You’ll have to make that decision.

Lower ranked schools typically have students of lower caliber, easier competition for you. Just look at US News ranking.

IMO (and people may disagree) Wharton is the top undergraduate business school in the country. It is also the hardest to get into by a good margin. Cornell is a fine school as well --I’d put it above Ross but it doesn’t have the international reputation of Wharton. The biggest issue with Ross is that they do not accept many people directly into the b-school – most students have to apply to Ross after their freshman year so there is always the risk of not getting in (and I know 2 good students who didn’t get into Ross – one transferred to a business program at another college and one stayed at UM and changed majors).

I would put AEM > Ross, but UM as a better-connected school overall. Honestly, even though you’d be an easier admit at Cornell ED, I would go for Wharton. It’s very competitive (obviously) but ED is advantages when applying to Penn.
