<p>Incomplete is not the same as withdrawal. W's are fine, in moderation.</p>

<p>I was thinking that for a moment but wasn't too sure.</p>

<p>Incomplete means you simply did not complete the course without notifying the instructor. Withdrawing means you formally withdrew from the course by a designated date and informed the professor. Obviously then, an I is a lot worse than a W as an I makes you look irresponsible and immature.</p>
