Upitt has a top 15 medical school in the country according to many rankings. However its combined bs/md program is consistently ranked worse than most other combined bs/md programs despite having a medical school higher ranked than all of them including brown , rice, and case western. Why is this?
All US medical schools accredited by LCME will prepare you as a MD. The ranking may matter if you are interested in academic medicine( MD/Ph.D). All board certified MDs in a specialty are paid the same amount by payers like medicare, insurers. There is no extra incentive payment for a Harvard MD.
BTW, BS/MDs account for only 5% of all US medical school seats. Why limit your self to one medical school if you can apply to many via regular route.
