So there's an option to upload a photo of yourself to the Vassar supplement "to personalize your application" Just wondering what peoples thoughts are about putting a photo on their application?

Why would you do that?

I mean, unless you have a photo that says a lot about yourself, like an essay or something. Hmmm…maybe it’s not a bad idea.

I don’t know. I think it’s a cute idea though. I just wonder if they actually pay that much attention to it… I know what you look like isn’t going to be a factor in your admissions, but it could be a nice touch. As long as you’re not doing something stupid in the picture or like… naked, or something.

I don’t think people would submit naked pictures of themselves. Unless the fact that they live in a nudist colony is their “hook” or something creepy like that.

We’re taking over CC, aren’t we?

We really are. Hahaha.

I know it’s unlikely that anyone actually WOULD send a naked photo, that was a bad example. But you know what I mean… there’s a lot of cliches you could have “look how pretty I am. Accept me kthnx?” or “here I am doing charity work in Africa! Accept me YA?!”.

I kinda want to take a picture of myself at the Vassar gates with a big cheesy grin and a thumbs up, holding a hamburger and wearing a Yankees shirt. “I likes America and Vassar is teh best. Accept meeeee?”

I always knew we would. ;)

HAHA. I like that idea. Very tongue-in-cheek.

One of my essays is actually about pictures. Too bad I’m not applying to Vassar.

I’m pretty sure they use it for your Vassar ID card if you come to the school. ;)
