I am a chem E transfer for ucsd and I was wondering how strict exactly how strict UCSD is in terms of having their students have meet every pre-req before being admitted into some of their main upper division classes. For example, I will not have completed a couple of math classes that are pre reqs for a Chem E 101a class in the fall, which is when I will be transferring. The problem lies in the fact that upper division classes are only offered once a year in their respective quarter (please correct me if I am wrong). The reason this concerns me greatly is if I am not allowed to get into chem 101a in the fall quarter because I will be lacking some pre reqs (that are not difficult for me to do), then I will wind up being at UCSD an extra year!

Great forum by the way and thanks for reading and any help/advice is greatly appreciated! :)
